Hillsdale Post 162 Celebrates 100th year anniversary WWI

Legionnaires today is the 100 Anniversary of America’s entry into WW l…”the war to end all wars”.

Yesterday your post raised a special 100 anniversary  flag  to commemorate this historic event. The American Legion National Commander Charles  E. Schmidt has asks that this be a year long event.  The flag will stay raised at the post until May 29, Memorial Day and will be transferred to Veterans Park as part of our Memorial Day service to remain there until Veterans Day, November 11. 2017.

We honor the 53,000 American killed in “the war to end all wars” as well as all those who paid the ultimate sacrifice in all our wars and salute all who served.
